Add Option to reset Game Settings in Game Properties
I'm trying out the Steam Deck of a friend because I'm toying with the idea of buying one. While testing, I accidentally crashed Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart because I foolishly tried to turn on one of the raytracing settings which (of course) caused an (Video) OOM message. Unfortunately the game remembered the setting and was crashing every time I've launched it. Fortunately I could turn the setting off by going to desktop mode, as this game has a launcher. Otherwise I'd had to find the config.ini file and delete/edit it.

I think it would be really beneficial, especially for Steam Deck users that often tinker with settings, to include a "Reset game settings to default" option in the library's game properties.

Even better would be Steam OS asking you if you want to reset the settings if it detected that the game crashed at launch, but the first idea would already be a great implementation.

I mean the big issue with that is steam has no way to know how the game is saving their settings or what the default settings of games are. That is controlled by the game. So steam can't reset a game to default settings as they don't know what the default settings are or where the default settings are saved.
What Brian says. Not every game uses config.ini. Or places it in the Steam folder.
