Is he a fraud?
The thing is, one day I was suddenly added as a friend by a stranger, and a few days later he sent me a private message. I feel like he's a scammer trying to guide me to an external chat app. But unfortunately, I don't know if there is a similar way to report him officially on Steam. I would like to hear everyone's opinions?
I cannot upload the screenshot which i chat with him. So I will type it as follow

So yesterday he added me to the CSGO trade, and he said he would sell his Karambit | Tiger Tooth for $800. He made me believe. But after a lot of negotiations, we sent him the money, and he immediately blocked me.
He sent me your steam account and then He told me " this is my main account " and it was also written on his profile before he blocked me .
That's why I asked because I made a mistake. I told all my friends and colleagues to report your steam account instead of his steam account.
and the bad news steam manager response to my email today :(((

So that we can direct to contact the steam manager in charge to the e mail and tell everything happened.
By the way do you have a TEAMS ?

What did they say in the private message? Was it something like they have something important to tell you on Discord or other site? Under no circumstance click any link they send you. Yes, it's almost certainly a scam attempt.

Did they send you a friend request or did they suddenly appear on your friend list? If they just appeared on your friend list, your account is likely compromised and you need to secure your account ASAP.

If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW to secure the account:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)
6. If points were stolen, do a password RESET to cancel the awards/points before they are delivered

You can report scam attempt from their Steam profile. You can find "report player" option at the bottom of the "More" drop down menu on their profile. Once done, unfriend them and block them.

Bit more long winded and convoluted than usual but it's the classic "I reported you by accident" scam. Report their profile, unfiend and block them. If they got on your friend list without you accepting their friend request, you may also need to secure your account as described above.
