Workshop Block System Inconsistency: Blocked Users Can Still Create Threads
Currently, when a user is blocked by a Workshop creator, they cannot post comments under the item, which is great and works as expected.

However, the same blocked user is still able to create a new discussion thread on that Workshop page. This feels inconsistent with the purpose of the block system — to prevent unwanted contact or harassment from specific users.

Since discussion threads notify the creator and appear on the Workshop page just like comments, allowing blocked users to start new threads effectively bypasses the block. It undermines the creator’s ability to control their own space and can lead to uncomfortable or hostile interactions.

Suggestion:

If a user is blocked by the Workshop author, they should also be prevented from creating new discussion threads on that Workshop page.

A simple message like “You are blocked by this creator and cannot post here” would make this clear and consistent.

This small change would bring the Workshop’s block behavior in line with community expectations and help maintain a safer and more consistent user experience for everyone.
