Rework Steam Friend - Chat - Voice Chat
Steam current steam chat/voice chat work but it is barely use unlike steam recording system. We need somethings like discord/team speak that can house 1000 of players into one place. Also there is a reason to use those sticker that was put out by steam every single year along with profile things. People love to customize and I think chat/voice chat can do better work.

What's in it for Valve to provide anything beyond the basic functionalities? Who will pay for the additional traffic this incurs?

There's a reason why Discord and TeamSpeak are begging for money. I don't want Steam to be monetized even worse because of chat features.

I agree this need a major re-work if they want to compete against Discord. AFAIK they don't seem to care, nor want to fight Discord in that space.

You can have MANY people in chat group that not issue, same with making text channels, and voice channels but things are VERY basic, and limited as not fancy as Discord, and Discord been improving in their own ways.
