We need a warning system for games that will be delisted!!
Tired of games just disappearing without any warning. Why isn't there a system in place where publishers can notify gamers which either have a game wishlisted, are following it, or have the publisher followed... to warn that games which games will be delisted and give people time to make a decision to purchase?

Steam very clearly has the best consumer facing features of any video game storefront/client in the world. The best features for sorting through and finding the titles you want.. but one way it could be better is implementing some kind of built in system like this which goes above and beyond for their consumers.

Hell, even a dedicated forum to upcoming delistings would help, no?

yeah it always comes on like a thunder strike.
no warning.
and some of the delistings are... litterally so a developer can shove his remaster or remake down our necks...
Devs post in the Whats new section.

There is a system in place. It's called "announcements". Game developers can use it to "announce" things.
and we get to vote against it only for it to fail 100% of the time

What voting are you referring to? Players don't get to decide whether a game is delisted or not

then whats the point of the up vote or down vote system?
whats the point of notifying me at the last second?

news that pops up with each game.
bottom you will see.. a up and down vote button.

That's not a vote button, that's just a like/dislike button. Has nothing to do with whether a game will be delisted or not...

That's to tell the developer what you think. The likes and dislikes don't magically make the patch get reverted if "enough" people don't like the patch notes.

it's still a vote... and should count.
same way votes are counted by the like or dislike of a president..

No, it shouldn't, because it has literally nothing to do with whatever circumstances arise that cause a game to be delisted.

These are video games, not Governments. People liking one piece of news about a game has zero bearing on whether that game will continue to be sold on the store.

no but the idea remains the same.

we don't like it.. it should count same way the up votes count when steam pats itself on the back.

do i need to do all the obvious thinking?
