When open the Steam store page for basically any game, the first thing Steam does is start autoplaying the video game trailers or whatever on the Steam store page even though many times I'm going there to read the store page or go to the forum or any number of other things, not to mention that at this point I have usually already seen the game's video trailers... so why do you autoplay them every time I go to the store page? Then I have to go and turn off the video before I do anything else.

It's just annoying most of the time.

Honestly the only time I would be interested in seeing the video is the first time I arrive at the store page for that game. And even then I would rather watch the video when I click play rather than having Steam just decide to play it before I'm ready or interested in watching it.

Steam devs... you know how you feel when you go to a website to read something there and a bunch of annoying auto-play video ads start running and you get annoyed at having to manually turn them off before you get to read the thing you wanted to read at that website? You don't want Steam to have a user experience like that, do you? Think about how annoying that is.

Granted, we're talking about video games here so it's not quite as annoying as seeing autoplay ads for car insurance or something, but it still is not a great user experience.

If you MUST have the videos autoplay, maybe you could only have it autoplay the first time that Steam user visits the Steam store page for that particular game?
