Zero sympathy.
All adults have the same permissions to add/remove all members.
All adults having the same permissions is intentional by design since it is for Families, which can be trusted.
It wasn't meant for Friend sharing.
"Ungrateful guy" doesn't sound like family.
So not family.
Family, regardless of anything and everything are always Family.
This was not Family.
There is no "founder" of the family. It's simply Adults and Children. Mom and Dad manage the family of children. That's the intention. Valve already overhauled it to deal with the problems of the old family sharing. If you're continuing to use it in a way it wasn't designed for, that's on you.
For the 1 year cooldown, it starts from when you joined/started the family, not when you leave. So if you've been a part of the family for 6 months, you only have 6 months left of the cooldown. On the flip side, that spot of yours in the family is reserved for you for that 1 year period. They can't fill that slot with anyone else until the cooldown has expired, if that's any consolation.
Someone that doesn't meet those 2 requirements is not family.
You're free to tell yourself whatever you want. If they're "fanily" to you, take it up with your family.
Or pick better "family" to share with in the future. Valve is not responsible for family drama.
