More control over the Mini Profile: Background position adjustment and blur reduction
Currently, the Steam Mini Profile only shows a small clear portion of the background (around 20%), while the rest is heavily blurred and darkened. Because of this, in many cases the background design is not properly visible, especially with animated ones.

It would be very useful to have options to:

  • Adjust or move the Mini Profile position, so we can frame the part of the background we like most.
  • Reduce the strength of the black blur/darkening effect, so the background can be fully appreciated.

This would give players more personalization and make better use of the animated backgrounds the community invests in.

The only person we can ask is the person who creates them. Agree they are disappointng but it was modified once the small screen becomes main stream and the destop monitor is pushed back making these background shorter,

Valve is the only one that can change it or let users have opacity options.

The game devs can not change it.

The creators of the profile background could and should increase the size of the profile background and the mini profile on the points store.

Valve would have to increase the size limits.
