Rehaul Achievement System to have a 'On-release' Completion Rate
Current 100% achievement completion on Steam can be a pain. Steam registers game with 100% of the achievements acquired as 'complete', making it a pain when a new update or DLC is released and you suddenly have to fork out again just to actually get 'all' of the achievements.

Sony combats this nicely by having Platinum tier trophies which are only awarded for acquiring all achievements which shipped with the base game, then DLC released down the line is categorised by said DLC.

I know this can be difficult for the PC market given some early access developers might add new content to the base game as their product develops but the current system can be annoying. I'm all for buying DLC and supporting the video game economy but sometimes I really don't want to pay for loads of little ♥♥♥♥♥ holiday themed addons just to get my 'completed' game.

Yeah this isn't gonna be a thing m8 and remember devs don't need DLC as a reason. Devbs can simply add new stuff to the base game content, or just add new cheevos to the base content.

All you've really said is that 100% on SOny means less than 100% on steam
Why should steam copy the inferior system?

All I'm asking for is another measure that sits below 'Perfect' games on profile metrics. I'm not asking them to copy anyone.

Given the bare minimum Steam did in implementing achievements, I doubt they will be doing anything to change how they work. It seems like they just added achievements to get people to quit asking for them.
