Drop service to the U.K.
Don't let a small percentage of users screw over the bigger percentage. Likely shooting yourself in the foot by pandering to tyranny. EDIT: I'm not saying steal their games or nuke their current libraries. Just block them on the store until they get themselves sorted out over there. (If they ever do.)

Okay so to be clear the age verification is only being done for UK users?. If you're not in the UK then this doesn't effect you?
So when a greedy government attempts to obliterate the platform I have accumulated a massive library on by siphoning all funds via petty charges which would obviously lead to bankruptcy and closure, I would not be affected?

So in other words you have no clue what's going on, have let your imagination run amok, and developed a ridiculous "solution" to a made up problem.

Don't worry your pretty little head, Valve understands its business better than you do, and they're not going to go bankrupt navigating annoying laws.

The worst worst case is Valve just blocks adult content to UK like they do Germany. Problem solved. No need to throw the Brits out with the bath water.

the Senate passed the Kids Online Safety and Privacy Act (KOSPA)—a legislative package that includes two bills: KOSA and the Children and Teens' Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA 2.0)—with a bipartisan 91–3 vote

thats so you can look around for news on it ,lots of platform will definitely implement it next year

Thank you for not being one of the little picture people in this thread and sharing that post, I'll look into this and keep an eye on it.
The point I am making is that 'Dropping the UK" doesn't do a damn thing. All it does is block UK residents from buying games. And I'm not sure how you think this is going to bankrupt Valve. TO be clear, I think this law is stupid. I just also think that it has to be solved in legislation, not Valve shooting itself in the foot and denying service to UK Residents.

Did you forget your original opening post where you referred to yourself and your library?

So when the USA implements age verification in the next 2-3 years, valve just drops them too, right?

And the rest of the EU?

Etc?

Good business plan.

I think you got your facts wrong here. Valve have not changed anything for users outside the UK. Age verification ONLY affects people in the UK.

No need to panic. If the USA implements Age Verification, it will do it in it's own way.
