They don't make them like they used to
While that saying is often applied to physical products, it's sadly also applicable to virtual products. In this case, i'm talking about the ease of removal of games (ignoring) while browsing.

Some years ago, people could simply put a game on ignore as they browse. Nowadays, this has been made complicated. The person first need to click on the specified game, wait for the next page to load, depending on the UI size, scroll down, and click ignore.

Also, going back to the previous page doesn't always place the person back to where he or she was browsing (due to a glitch in the system). This buggy part is common for those who decide to browse via categories (steam store > hack n slash/adventure etc. > filter with genre/features etc.)

The fact that they don't fix this just irritates people and this becomes a bigger problem in the future. Steam as of now has at least 100,000 games. Most of them are just garbage which everyone knows. 5 or 10 years from now, that's going to expand exponentially.

At this rate, 10 years from now, you'll be spending countless hours browsing through trash just to come across 1 or 2 good games. If you decide to shorten the list by ignoring, making it easier to browse next time, you'll still go through the hassle like everyone; loading each individual page.

This is why I still use the old search page.

You can hover over the game art on the left, click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and select ignore.

:nkCool:
agreed. i shop at Steam Store 5 days a week and I find that it is very hard to put a game on ignore.

I must not be managing my free time enough to allow for time spent searching for games on the store.
