Steam deck officialy for LATAM and other countries
Hi.

I know the Steam Deck isn't available for LATAM and other countries, and at this point I assume it'll never officially arrive (whether for logistical reasons or whatever), but I can't explain why don't you give us the option to buy it and have it shipped to a US address for example. In most LATAM countries (which is where I'm from) at least there are couriers that handle shippings from USA to one's country. It doesn't make sense to leave half the world without an official way to obtain them and having to resort to risky methods. If I want to buy it today, the only way I have is to buy it from a third-party store (with the risks it entails); in addition to paying more; not getting Steam Points for the purchase; etc.

I mean... at most, the only downside would be if one breaks down along the way, but I think a notice saying "We are not responsible for damage caused by third parties" or something along those lines would suffice.

Can we please make it happen? Or at least let us claim Steam Points by entering the Serial number or something.

Valve's physical logistics aren't the best and probably won't be officially available in LATAM unless they find a partner in that region to sell them for Valve.

:nkCool:
Its high risk in general especially as some of the countries are well known for corrupt border agencies and rampant delivery theft.

Us addresses are for us orders. They aren't doing workarounds for high risk areas, which is a good idea. When a lot of companies make latam users sign a zero guarantee waiver, that's usually indicative of why there's a lack of shipping to certain regions.

Yeah well, you're way more likely to get ripped off by a store honestly. And they should AT LEAST create a way to claim the store points by inserting the device serial number or something. Like...Steam is great at a lot of things but didn't thought this very thoroughly did they? I defend the store in a lot of things but can't and won't defend them on this. Specially because they didn't do sh!t to address at least the points part which would be pretty easy to fix. They simply don't care and that's it.

Not even ones officially sold through Komodo, Valve's Asia partner grant Steam points.

:nkCool:
That's quite lame TBH
