You can already filter your friends games list by games you both own and by how many hours played.
You can use that to find out and compare what games your friends play a lot.
seems interresting but your idea is just too poor atm, it would have been nice if you thought more about it before and post more things about it :
- because "Comparison feature" imply some metrics , that we allready have or not in term of value ( like x/100 , etc )
so what do you really want to compare ? what value, in which form ? etc ...
aye
basically i am up ( +1 ) even if your purpose has an early form of an embryo and even if you need to developp it more because it can serve customer , but also dev studio ( not sur valve is not allready giving some kind of data in a different form or idea , from the backend to their partners ... )
some connex form could be :
- how many games recommanded by a "people" have been bought by people from his wishlist after he added it to...( and it could be an interresting metric i guess to correlate with 2 differents kinds of value ... )
so you can check the effect of the wishlist on friend's purchase ( it could be interresting for valve for tweaking wishlist , and also valve partners ) and finally yourself in some form like you seems to want..
many other things can be discuss, if you have the right metrics xd
basically i am allways up for anything that serve both side , customers and partners in a reasonable way
