EDIT: Found out it is pure x86-64-v3, no multilib.
Valve simply refusing to keep up with time. x86-64 is introduced 20 years ago. You say it is easier for Valve to just maintain 32 bit, but is also easier for entire linux community to simply maintain only 64 bits. Valve cannot keep holding linux community back especially when it trying to push SteamOS.
As someone who works on a daily basis as the lead developer of possibly the last remaining 32-bit-only Source 1 game, I am acutely aware that Valve is content with keeping things 32-bit if they don't have any reason they are forced to move to 64-bit-only.
