'Unavailable Inventories' NOT DEFINED!
The problem: I have 'unavailable inventories' in my Steam inventory window.
That's confusing; I don't understand why that is a thing.

The details:
  1. I do not know how or why an inventory could be unavailable.

  2. All of the troubleshooting I tried, did not work. EG: Restart Steam client (didn't make available). Select Inventory, then select activity, then select inventory (didn't make available). Repeatedly reloading my inventory a lot (didn't make available). Check the Steam status page (no notable faults). None of these worked.

  3. Others have this experience as well -- see https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/discussions/forum/1/1638669204731528905/ -- as well as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ToYlk_CPNY and numerous other videos on Youtube that try to document workarounds for this inexplicable situation.

My feedback in terms of what I'd like to see --
  1. DEFINE what 'unavailable inventories' means. So I can check for myself if that situation makes sense.

  2. EXPLAIN how it works. So that I know what is going on under-the-covers, and I can make better/well informed decisions about dealing with the Steam inventory.

  3. DOCUMENT the definitions/explanations from the prior 2 deliverables. It should be that when a user searches the internet for: "why does Steam have unavailable inventories", there is a reasonable chance that the person looking for help will find HELPFUL documentation from Valve itself!
    As it stands, the 'troubleshooting' help online (which people find) is, essentially, cargo-cult troubleshooting. No one knows what's happening or why, but everyone has this 1(+) simple workaround(s) that definitely do (NOT) work. That there are multiple sources of truth which don't agree with each other and aren't sanctioned by Valve, is a terrible situation for the Steam end-user seeking help.
    Additionally, the Steam client's inventory and the web-interface for the Steam inventory, lack 'HELP' or 'DOCUMENTATION' as options.

  4. Also update help.steampowered.com. I drilled down into each menu in the help menu, looking for the correct place to issue this request -- and *NONE* of the options mention the word inventory. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯
