Removing the points may remove an incentive for people to make such threads, but it won't stop the trolling.

Just as I said it would be. Bro, I am literally a misanthrope and I'm finding the lengths you have to go to in order to try to tell people that they're not allowed to change your mind to be a bit creepy.

But allow me to say this for the record so I can bring it up the next time you try to pull this stunt. If I could give up every single point given to me from steam awards on the forums. If doing so would remove the awards system from the forum. The moment I found out about it... I'd drain every single point from those awards.

Trust me bro... I don't think I'm more special than anyone, in fact... it's why I snark about being followed around. I get uncomfortable with that kind of thing, and so I default to one of two things... laughter or snark. And snark's a lot less likely to get me banned than just busting out laughing on the forum.

No doubt it will slow the trolling, until people find new ways, or go back to old ones, to troll again and it'll just ramp right back up.

Valve may also be finding that "proper" use of the point system far outweighs any trolling that occurs with it and have decided it's not worth removing for the complaints people have been making.

Awards indeed are BS, said so in the beginning, still have the same opinion, lol.

Though I welcome the free points, of course. I mean, if Valve doesn't remove the system, that's fine. I like how I get a batch of points every now and then because I annoyed someone who then goes through my post history jestering posts from years ago.

To be fair, certain users on this forum are exhaustingly predictable. Even though they are meatsacks, their behavior is honestly quite bot-like.

Awards for forum posts was definitely not a good idea, should've just made it so we only obtain points through buying games. Then the point shop still has a function.

When you block it literally tells you you are blocking communication with them not vice versa, so it is odd you chose to bypass the block you imposed to communicate with someone you blocked.
