Tag for games with Denuvo
Would it be possible to get a tag added to games that have Denuvo so that they could be filtered out of the store when browsing? This would be just like the current tags for genre, multiplayer, etc.

Hasn't Valve deleted such tags due to rampant abuse? There's nothing unique about Denuvo that requires it to be tagged.
" This would be just like the current tags for genre, multiplayer, etc." no not at all. Denuvo's primary function is to act as a digital rights management and anti-tamper system for PC games. It protects PC video games and aims to prevent piracy by making games harder to crack..
And you think a tag is required to help you know what games can be pirated lol thats piceless.
hey hello everyone

This entire point here adds a liability issue to such a tag. Note that Denuvo bypasses include Steam bypasses which is a violation of the Steam Subscriber Agreement and US and international copyright law.
An option to filter out denuvo games would be great, the performance hit & inability to play offline makes those games ultimately worthless.
Good thing I am not in the USA so you take any rules and shove them.. The agreement rules do not apply to me. They can try whatever they want, they can not do boo..

My Country has different rules on internet interactions.
international is blurry line that fades with every passing day btw
Would be nice to see that filter

I mean https://store.steampowered.com/app/1237320/Sonic_Frontiers/ says Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo so steam db knows that game has Denuvo
Allow us to filter Denuvo games out

No - they prevent user who legally bought the game from playing it

No internet? Can check DRM - can`t play
Wan to play on 2+ devices? Cant
DRM servers out? Can check DRM - can`t play

For #1 run the game before going offline.
For #2 it is completely allowed; activation limits are just a rate limit. Playing on more than 1 device at a time is a Steam limit.

Valve is in the USA and does business in countries that also have strong intellectual property laws.
Valve does not allow tags with explicitly negative connotations. They wont allow tags that serve no purpose other than to lower sales.

...and thats just common sense basic business acumen.
I just wanted to clarify a few misconceptions here.

1) The tag would not allow bypassing Denuvo (that's a very odd reading of the original request). The tag allows filtering of your own personal display of the store, just like all the other tags (Store->Browse->Preferences->Tags To Ignore).

2) The tag itself does not have any connotation, either positive or negative. It is simply an indication that the game includes a specific technology. People can use it (or not) just like any other tag in their purchase decisions.

3) This is not a discussion of the merits of, or opinions on, Denuvo. There are other forums for that sort of discussion. This is a suggestion forum.
