Introduction of a passphrase system for account recovery
Hello everyone. Quite often I hear that people cannot prove that they are the owners of an account, just because the account is old and the person simply cannot find the old activation keys or does not remember his first email address. For example, I no longer remember what old mail was on my account, and I'm afraid that if my account is stolen, I won't be able to restore it.
Why not introduce such a thing as a passphrase/control words (similar to how it works in crypto wallets) so that account recovery can take place without problems. I think this system is reliable, because if it is trusted by crypto wallets with large amounts on balance, why not implement it on Steam. This system is also easy to implement, but at the same time it is as efficient as possible.
I think a lot of people will support the idea.

Id be good with the 5 questions with answers you provide routine to having to save and worry about 20+ year old data.

I have the stuff saved, in several places. I just dont like needing to do it.

As long as you can provide transaction details you're fine. though honestly if you're worried about thise stuff. Might help to save that data in a secure space.
