"window on startup" > profile
There is a "window on startup" setting and I would like to have a "profile" there.

Not that I'm against, but... What would be the utility in that?
I can see the point of having the Steam client launching in the other sections, but the profile?

I see no advantage to Steam nor the user in having the user's profile page appear on launch.

To please narcissists ?
Wouldn't one of the various steam os linux achieve this if im reading the suggestion correctly.
For example, I have a lot of accounts. To see my username, I have to click a specific link on Steam every time I log in to each account. It would be convenient for me to have my profile available immediately upon launching. It's easy to do, and it's useful for some people. It's just that you (who posted here) don't need it.
