but this is what I mean, it is useful and interesting to look at the different milestones/dates for steam games/items (dlc etc), and not every game has a wiki page explaining their version history

I think it's good just for historical records and accuracies. There's already too much misinformation out there.
Sometimes they do the same with other information, i.e. developers. They'll list a developer that didn't create the game.
It's odd the EA date is on Slime Rancher 2 but not 1.
