Show more release dates for steam games
Afaik the release date tells when the full game released. I wish if we hovered over the date, it would also tell us when the store item first appeared public on steam, when it had restricted access, when it was available to buy, and when it was released (if applicable)

Like for slime rancher steam and steamdb says it released 2017 but youtube videos go back to 2016, so I don't know what's going on there, which is annoying. It distorts the truth, and does not give customers adequate information about what they're buying.

And edit thanks to their wiki, it seems to have released in early access on steam in 2015

Slime Rancher was released on Aug 1, 2017.

thankfully on their wiki they explain that their earliest presumably available to play early access was december 17 2015, and the 1.0 was august 1 2017
https://slimerancher.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Versions
but this is what I mean, it is useful and interesting to look at the different milestones/dates for steam games/items (dlc etc), and not every game has a wiki page explaining their version history
edit ah my bad writing 2018 instead of 2017 mustve been a typo

Yes, it would be good. For many olde games I see, they can show a release date of 2025, but it was really released in 1996. I'm talking about originals, not remasters or a different HD version.

I think it's good just for historical records and accuracies. There's already too much misinformation out there.

Sometimes they do the same with other information, i.e. developers. They'll list a developer that didn't create the game.

It's odd the EA date is on Slime Rancher 2 but not 1.

Like Quake in 1996, long before Steam existed?

release dates are for steam releases.
Not for PS1/Amiga and not for date of announcement
