Steam Sub Clients Portal
I haven't been on discussion groups since about....well...when newsgroups were first invented and from memory it was a DOS program so bear with me here....

There was a game I played many years ago called "Thief" and I'd say many others played it as well. At the time it was a very well designed game and good to play.

So over the years developers and publishers have come and gone or merged into news businesses around the world. And a trend I have been seeing over the years is old titles either being re-vamped or ported to work on namely the Windows platform (plus others). Some are good, some are buggy and some just...well...we won't go there.

A couple of things come to mind:

1. Has Valve ever thought of making a sub-clients portal (or multiples) as optional add-on to the steam client to offer some redundant support for games that don't run (or don't run well) on Windows/Linux/Mac to have a more flexible approach that maybe users could tweak at there leisure? They could be made available by Steam at a small cost if support was provided. This could start as a proof-of-concept trail maybe?

2. After reading the pinned "Games you would like to see on Steam" stating that the developers/publishers do not read this forum (or may not bother) and that they decide if they want their product on the Steam platform can be taken in another way. Maybe Valve/Steam needs to change marketing tactics by offering developers/publisher to come onto the Steam platform. This would be a good incentive and has good prospect for Valve/Steam as a business (from my viewpoint).

So everyone's feedback would be good on what they have in mind.

Keep up the good work!
