"Search the Store" incredibly annoying
Every single time I open any store page the search bar auto-fills with "Search the Store" and I can't do anything until I get rid of it. Annoying and I hope it isn't happening to everyone.

Edit: I wasn't clear. The placeholder text starts a search which keeps me from doing anything until I clear it. This isn't an aesthetics thing -- it genuinely gets in the way of me using the site.

That's called placeholder text. It's not actually there. If you type something, it'll go away.

It always had that there. It's just not dimmed out anymore.

I remember back before web browsers supported placeholder text when websites tried to emulate it with JavaScript with varying degrees of brokenness...

Thanks. I've updated my post to explain why this is a problem. It doesn't just fill in the blank, it starts a search which I have to get rid of in order to use the site. It wastes time and forces a specific action.

This might help.

The three red dot icon is from LastPass. It doesn't do anything like this elsewhere.
I just flushed cached data + cookies. No change.

See if you can get LastPass to stop injecting itself into the page, even just temporarily, and see if that makes the problem go away.
Logged out of LastPass and problem stopped. Logged back in, problem back again.
i do not use any password managers so i cannot say for sure what they do or not

but i had to actually type in

"search the store"

to see what you had there (minus the hamburger)

so it seems like it is filling it in somehow
