Ideas to Make Steam Even Cooler
HIIIII Steam and Valve!

I have a few ideas that could make the platform even more fun, interactive, and personal:

1. Expanded Achievements

Add achievements not just in individual games, but for Steam itself.

Reward players for activity: browsing games, joining events, or interacting with the community.

2. Better Chats & Groups

Make chats more feature-rich, like Discord: voice channels, threads, mentions, and reactions.

Let users create groups or mini-communities with adjustable access levels.

3. Profile & Group Customization

Give users more tools to personalize their profiles: colors, themes, widgets, and animations.

Allow groups or “mini-servers” to have their own customization, making small communities feel unique.

4. Store & Game Stats Improvements

Improve the store: better sorting, recommendations, themed collections, and filters by language or genre.

Add built-in stats for games: playtime, achievements, records, and progress right on the game page.

These changes could make Steam feel more like a living platform for socializing, progress, and personalization, where players want to come back again and again. :melon:

It also is not "This suggestion will in fact be implemented" forum. It is a suggestion, it either will be implemented or will not, somehow those feel if others have opposing beliefs of a suggestion that it will not be implemented. If i were to state the suggestion is bad it is unlikely Valve would change their minds based on my opinion, so rest assure hopes and dreams still remain for them.

Also, the suggestion is competing with every other suggestion, both on and off the forum, for developer time. I just don't think adding forums to group chats (all the other things you suggested are already there and have been for years) or achievements to the Steam community website (which would be different from badges... how?) or vaguely "improving the sorting" with no mention of what's wrong with it currently is going to win over stuff that gets a lot more customer value per developer time.
