That section on the right side of your profile is for your RECENTLY EARNED badges.

Go to the points shop and use Steam Points to buy the Badges Showcase, that way you can display what badges you wish.

I'm really not sure why you insist on responding with this to this specific suggestion every single time. People know what it is, they want it to change and be able to be customised, that is the point of a suggestion thread.

Well, you have to remember that a lot of people treat this forum section as a Steam game of its own, and the suggestion threads act as the enemies that you've got to beat. The more you defeat, and the quicker you do it, the better.

The OP is asking for something that ALREADY EXISTS.
Why alter something to do what something else that is already available does?

How about you stop attacking me for pointing that out?

These are DISCUSSION forums, which means we can also state why a suggestion is not needed or a waste of time.

The OP is complaining that crafting a new badge ruins it. Putting a badge showcase on your profile doesn't change anything about the recently crafted badges - there is no way to customise them and no way to hide it. Therefore the solution doesn't already exist. It shouldn't be that difficult to understand but for some reason for you it is.

Can you really call it a discussion when you don't even read the threads you reply to half the time?

And what you keep forgetting is that it is NOT an affirmation board so you will have to accept and deal with people telling you it is actually needed and not a waste of time just because you think it is.

To use your own words against you, it also means we don't have to agree with the suggestions either and can provide reasons against the suggestion.

And unfortunately the reasons you have provided have been shown to be wrong. There is no reason to react so negatively when inaccurate statements are corrected. You should always try to read the whole of the OP before responding in the future.

The OP has said they want to customize the badges on their profile, guess what the badges showcase does?
There is no need to change something to do what something else already does.

The Badge Showcase also displays more badges anyway. And you can have multiple of it.

And that's already been addressed and debunked. You need to understand this is an AFFIRMATION BOARD, not a DISCUSSION BOARD. There is no need to try to confuse people correcting your answer with "attacking"

As you've already been told, the badge showcase does not affect the little section on your profile that shows recently acquired badges. There is NO way to directly alter that currently, you're stuck with whatever recently acquired badges you have, which you don't always have control of since some badges level up on their own like the game collector or years of service. And that is what this thread is about. Not the showcases, but a part of the profile that currently cannot be altered manually. You're purposely missing the point just to disagree with the suggestion as you often do.

Based on the fact that this has been suggested countless times over the years and Valve has done nothing to change it, it looks like it's working how Valve want's it to work, and since their opinion on the matter is the only one that counts, it's not likely to be changed.

It can seem like this to people unfamiliar with Valve and their practices, but Valve Time is an always perfect answer to this: That Valve has yet to do something is not proof that Valve does not want to do it, even for a cartoonish amount of time. It is simply proof that Valve has yet to do something, because they work on Valve Time.

Some more research would do you good.
