It safe to Accept friend request from someone I even dont know?
I happily to Accept some friend request that I know like got request from other friends like this user friend with my friend or etc, lately I have been got kinda 3 or 2 friend request from somebody idk and the Profile it kinda setting to Private so I only see badge, what games it played, but it content and Profile comment are off so I cant ask why want add friend with me or does it has connection with my friends, the somthing make me doubt is it already exist since 2011 and has 3,000+ Hours of Civilization VI, so it safe? I might want to add him just to ask but Im scared there somthing to me if I accept

generally it safe, but personally i don't add people who randomly add me, especially if i don't know from where. found there are people who run scams

I dont accept request from anyone I dont know at least in passing.

The days of accepting random requests ended over a decade ago, personally.

Nothing can happen to you or your account just by accepting the friend request.

That said you need to practice basic internet safety, especially with people you don't know. Don't click on unfamiliar links, and even if they look legit, you're usually better off not clicking on them anyway, and always double, triple check before you click on anything if you DO decide to click on a link - but again, if someone you don't know is sending you links, that is a red flag that they are trying to scam or phish you.

Obviously, don't give away passwords or personal information either.

Nothing bad will happen to you if you accept a friend request.

Just don't click on random links and never give away your Steam login details.

If they chat with you and try to send you link block them! The link will look ok but it will not be ok.

generally speaking, there is no problem adding people. But if you don't know from where they adding you, i will say don't add. especially with a few people running scams and sending all kinds of strange links
