But of course that isnt what youre talking about and you havent even disclosed that in the opening post.
No you can't. If you open a second game it closes the first game.
That can break clouds saves. Too risky with slay the spire runs.
Oh really?

Thats 5 running at one time.
That is false, i routinely run multiple games at once. if its closing its an issue on your end, but steam fully supports it as long as its the same pc.
Main PC, steam deck, cloud gaming. Cloud saving is vital in 2025+.
Again, it works fine. You can run multiple games at once on the same device. You cannot run two games on two different devices at a time and that includes steam deck as a device.
Yep, sounds like OP is trying to play 2 games on 2 different devices which you can't.
They don't, you can play as many games on 1 device at a time as you want, however they restrict you from playing on two different devices at once as otherwise people will let others use their account.
THAT is the legal reason to not allow two different devices to play games at once.
I'm currently playing Darktide (online only) and Slay the Spire on the same PC.

I can alt tab between them.
You cannot be online on the same account on two, three different devices.
They know what they are asking of, but at least the claim that they can't run 2 games at the same time on one pc is rather humorous considering it is known you can run more than 1 game on a device, that is assuming said device can handle multiple games which may be op's probably and would require an upgrade to a reasonable pc.
If I recall correctly, the limit is 32 simultaneous games on the same machine (although that might just be for time tracking).
