Original suggestion thoroughly deconstructed by some peeps, but star ratings for moderators?
Star'd ratings for moderators so communities can express whether they are doing a good job or not?

If there's multiple moderators of a community, then it might provide competition between them and make them more productive to gaining approval, therefor moderating better.

(And while we're at it, I suggest making it be required for games to use steam as a launcher if they're gonna sell on it. I really hate the 3rd-party shark-contracts, 3rd-party trash they call their own launchers, and the need for individual unsecured accounts for each game. Steam is superior in every way, please monopolize it.)

"Overall populaton." If the overall population doesn't like the moderator, then who's the one that needs to be kicked?
Game hub moderation is chosen by the developer, if you're having issues with a game hub's moderation, contact the developer.

Actually the overall population don't use the forums, and even a smaller portion of those that do have issues with moderation.

If there are Valve mods, they are getting paid for doing their job. I doubt the company, that Valve is outsourcing will hire new people whenever a bunch of trolls gets mad.

If the dev or dev-appoionted mods are in charge of the forum, there is 0 chance of this working, as Valve has a hands-off stance (unless REALLY neccessary) in game hubs.

'whenever a bunch of trolls gets mad.'

I doubt you know what a troll is beyond the award farmers.

Plus not just the forum (I stated community in the post), I've witnessed mods obliterate workshops because they felt like it, even when those workshops violated nothing. And they always escape with these minor acts of power abuse.

People generally don't like the people who enforce the rules they like breaking.
So nah. You want that, build your own forum.
More simpleton rabble rousing.

As said and the best response: "This isnt a democracy."

Allowing mob rule, that could easily be abused to oust competent moderation so trolls, bots, and scammers could run rampant isn't really an effective system.

I will cite, if this is due to the Halo team's moderation. They are known for being a bit more generous with their portions when it comes to handing out punishment, but they're still well within their right.

The forums for game hubs are treated as the Dev's property. As long as the Dev isn't personally breaking the ToS by like...banning people for being LGBT+ or something, they're free to moderate their hub how they see fit.

Like, I could make a game and ban every user with a vowel in their name from my game's hub if I so desired.

Any alternatives then?

Actually the overall population of a forum do in fact use that forum.

This isn't about rule breaking bud, it's a suggestion to fix moderators randomly abusing their power on people who basically did nothing wrong.
