When updating large games, deleting and reinstalling is often much faster than patching.
Options to add:

Checkbox in game settings: "Always reinstall if quicker than updating."
Dynamic mode: Auto-reinstall if update takes longer than normal.

As someone who has over 500+ games this would save me literally days of time throughout the year.
