First, let's be on the same page. If you click the Store tab, you have the option to click Stats. Click on it. On that page there are two highlighted categories - Most played GAMES and top selling GAMES.
Currently the following entries in the list of the most played GAMES are not games at all: Bongo Cat, OBS stream, Terraria Mod loader, Bananas, VR CHAT, wallpaper engine, Soundpad, Crosshair X
These are occupying slots that other GAMES could be on, hurting other GAMES in the process, while also making APPS not visible enough in the platform.

Bongo cat IS NOT a GAME it is a decoration app, like Wallpaper is. It has a purpose to decorate your screen, not to engage you in any way a game would.
Terraria Mod loader IS not a GAME, it is a mod maker.
Banana IS NOT a GAME, not even a click game, it is just a loophole for doing some activity that Valve could not care less.
OBS Stream IS NOT a GAME, it is an utility app for streamer.
VR CHAT is NOT a GAME, it is an utility app for communication.
Wallpaper engine is NOT a GAME, it is for wallpaper and for a loophole thingys.
Soundpad is NOT a GAME, it is an utility app.
Crosshair X is NOT a GAME, it is a training app for esports.

So, the most played GAMEs list, as it stands, is a complete and utter disgrace.

Valve, create a different list dedicated just for APPS, so that other APPS could receive more attention and get better highlighted on STEAM.
