More Customisation To Steam + Background Music
Steam should have more customisation to its standard ui. Not many people use the big picture mode so spending points on customising it is quite useless. I think the standard ui should be more customizable and have more features like background music which would be bought using points just like profile avatars and themes

The fad of playing music when you open a webpage died for a reason.

Yes but you would have full control over what music plays and if music plays at all, it would just be a cool thing to add just for a nice touch
imagine having your favourite music on profile page such as portal soundtrack.

Exactly, Idk how valve havent added something like that since you can customise everything else on your profile. Obviously the music would have to be added via the points stuff same as avatars, backgrounds etc but still it would be cool asf
Soundtracks you buy from Steam are under personal use licence. To allow others to listen to the soundtracks, you need broadcasting licence which cost 100-1000+ times the price of personal use licence. Record labels, musicians, composers etc. want to be paid in real money and will not be accepting steam points for their licences. In addition almost no one wants to hear sounds or music from random web pages. There are dedicated sites for that and I highly doubt anyone would be willing to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars yearly just to allow people listen some game soundtracks from their profile pages.

This has been discussed to death in 100+ topics so use search next time to find out the many reasons it won't be happening.
Yeah...no. Steam doesn't wanna pay licensing fees, I don't wanna get bombarded with bad music choices.
