This is useful because:
1. it can help you clean up old demos taking up space
2. it can remind you of games you wanted to try and perhaps buy
3. Sometimes you add a bunch of items to your library and want to try some after a Steam next Fest.
4. organization and labeling is satisfying, while the current filtering by name is not (and ineffective)
