Request for Regional Pricing for Bangladesh
I’m a humble gamer from Bangladesh, where Steam prices are tied to South Asian USD rates, making games quite expensive for us.
If possible, could we have our own BDT-based pricing?
It would make games far more accessible to the large and passionate gaming community here and in turn significantly reduce the number of pirates in the region.

No one country should be priced out of gaming because of regional pricing conditions not aligning with local currency. +1

The reason why Valve does not accept BDT is currency inflation.

Considering the volatility of some currencies this is a ridiculous statement.

You make a good point, sir. I just want everybody able to enjoy the same privileges.
I would not hold my breath if I were you. Valve hasn't been interested supporting any new local currencies and instead prefers to make large USD based regions with regional pricing. Last time they even removed 2 local currencies so doubtful they plan to add new ones.

It's just not worth it for Valve to support weak, volatile and constantly depreciating currencies (1 USD 5 years ago was 83,32 BDT. Right now 1 USD is 122,21 BDT. Essentially your currency has lost half it's value past 5 years). Having prices in USD puts the cost of volatile currency on customers and frees the developers from burden of constantly adjusting the prices.

I’d be in favor of excluding the US dollar from Steam, since it’s weaker than the euro and several other currencies. Too little purchasing power, loss of profit. That’s it. It should therefore be treated the same way as the already excluded currencies.

Equality for all. Otherwise, it makes no sense at all.
