Better content filtering options
This is a very strange issue to have, and I'm sure there are many here who don't care: The community tab filters don't seem to work consistently.

I've used steam for a good while, I've never purchased an adult game, I've never WANTED to purchase an adult game, yet my community tab is full of reviews, screenshots, videos of games that I have otherwise blocked with my settings, or indeed screenshots and workshop items from games and utilities I shouldn't have to block that just feature full frontal nudity. It's extremely jarring to be scrolling through a feed of screenshots from games I might be interested in and then there's just straight up porn thrown in for flavor.

I want to be very clear: I may object to this kind of content but that doesn't mean it all has to burn and go away and never be allowed on the platform. I respect that there are people who want this kind of stuff and are willing to buy it. I just want to be able to filter it out of my feed more effectively.

THINGS I'VE ALREADY DONE:
- I've never played or bought any of these games.
- I've blocked them (allegedly) from my store and community pages in settings (though this certainly seems to be hit and miss).
- I've ignored the two worst offenders for "That's not what I would use that for" content, Wallpaper Engine and LiveViewer2DEX (Which are supposedly just animation and screensaver utilities, but the workshop page tells a very different story it seems).
- I've contacted steam support to report this as an issue, and was directed here.

WHAT I'M STILL COMING ACROSS:
- Reviews for games I've blocked in settings.
- Screenshots and videos from games I've blocked in settings.
- Community content from games with tags I've blocked.
- Community content that really shouldn't be present given the other content I've blocked.
- Search Suggestions (the little list that shows up when you type in the search box) for games I have blocked in settings.

SUGGESTED ACTIONS FOR VALVE:
- Up the strictness of existing community page filters (if there are such things)
- Add a filtration system similar to Google's to filter out nudity that can be toggled on and off in settings with degrees of severity (Block, Blur, Off)

WHY DOES THIS MATTER?:
As many of us know, steam was recently bullied by major payment processors into removing vast quantities of its adult content at the behest of a fringe group in Australia that somehow also supported the netflix original "Cuties." If they can push payment processors around to enforce global change, they may be capable of shutting down steam entirely if they ever find out how unfiltered the community tab is (if not globally, at least in Australia). This is, I believe, a bad future. The last thing any of us want is worse censorship, so what we need to do is not give them reasons to censor us. Content filtering options seem, to me, to be the only available middle ground: People who don't want to see this stuff can block it out, people who do can let it in. Again, I have nothing against anyone using their games in this way. I may not like what you play, but I will defend to the death your right to play it. Sometimes defense looks like shoring up barriers.
