Steam guide pictures showing "Invalid URL" when clicked by a Steam user
I was recommended by Steam support to post here. I am having issues with my existing Steam guides. I (and many others) are running into an issue where clicking on pictures I have uploaded directly to my Steam guides show an Invalid URL popup. If I right click the pictures and open in new tab they immediately load in another tab. I have asked friends to test this and they all get the same result, even one friends from the UK still has this issue. Clearly it is not a local issue so I don't know to fix it.

Previously I was able to click on pictures featured in any of my guides with no issues, but I very recently spent a day redesigning one of my guides and added small details to the 30 or so pictures I changed, which are only legible if clicked on to enlarge. However, after updating the guide none of the pictures are properly able to be interacted with and my work is hindered as the average viewer of my guides will click the picture, see an error, and not think of the temporary workaround of opening in a new tab.

I have discovered I can properly open my guide pictures in a Google Chrome window, on both my home desktop computer and my laptop connected to a public internet connection. However, the issue is still persisting within my Steam client as well as from in a Mozilla Firefox window. I find this issue important to the Steam community. I found a thread from many people having the same issue since a few years ago that was never solved: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/discussions/forum/0/3316358999139420710/

Please help, I really want this issue fixed and since I know it isn't a local issue it seems there isn't much I can do without help.

In that previous discussion about this problem you mentioned someone posted that the pictures will open properly if you click with the mouse wheel and when I tried it I found they were right so left mouse button=error whereas mouse wheel button=success. It's odd I'll give you that but it works so just mentioning it at the beginning of your guides should help any viewers. I think this is the best you can do because that previous discussion was from 2022 and the problem still exists so I don't think it'll ever work with the left mouse button again anytime soon.
