Suggestion: Platform-wide Steam Achievements (collect series, complete games 100%, etc.)

Hello everyone!

I had an idea that might make Steam even more fun to use. What if Steam had its own achievement system — not for individual games, but for platform-wide milestones?

For example:

*Collect the full series of a specific franchise (e.g., Dark Souls)

*Complete several games at 100%

*Reach a certain number of play hours in one genre

Players could earn unique profile badges or decorative items as rewards — similar to the existing collectible badges.
I think this could make the platform more engaging and motivate users to explore their libraries more deeply.

What do you think? Would you like to see something like this added to Steam?

People complain about pay 2 win in games. I can't even imagine what kind of fuss "winning in a store" would make happen.

Again for the 30th time, it is not going to happen, steam has no idea about play hours in any game on steam. Steam only tracks how long the game exe is running, Steam has no idea if the player is in front of the gaming device or even playing or if it is just idle.

Idling is a thing. Really isn't hard to open a game and leave it running for a week

You dont even need to install a game to max out time.

Funny thing is, they had that at one point with the Community Badge.....
They got rid of it due to all the spam it created.
