Black Ops II: Steam not working in-game

Since I've got the game my Steam client won't work in-game. I've tried it on other games and it works, just not for BOII. I've googled help for it but I can't seem to find an answer. Anyone know why it won't work?

If you right click on the game in your Steam library and select properties from the dropdown list, in the general tab, is 'enable steam community in-game' checked?

There is the second master-checkbox on the IN-GAME tab on the settings window.
Steam main window > View>Settings>IN-GAME
[x] Enable Steam Community In-Game
Even if you have this AND the individual game checkmarked there is a small chance it wouldn't work due to how the game is designed. It may capture all the keyboard input before even letting steam see it. Sometimes a steam update fixes it.

Okay. Can I manually update it or do I have to wait for Steam to?

If it doesn't currently work with both the master checkbox and the individual game's checkbox both on then you're waiting for the game devs or valve to make an update that fixes it, assuming they know about it.
Does the steam overlay work for you on other games?

Yeah all my other games seem to run fine... Both enable boxes are checked. Black ops won't run even with Avast disabled

Yes, I've tried 4 different games and the in-game client works fine. It only doesn't work on BOII.

Hi,sorry for my Engl, i started my game BO 2, but anything does not show. i have done the checking of cash.
Right click of button of mouse on game into steam ----properties-------local files-------------check of cash integrality.Waiting some second(minutes).Then do this procedure for all of parts of black ops 2(singke,multiplayer,zombies).
And enjoy our playing,ok , wait you in game.GL!
