Vjoy (lack of controller pad) and Big Picture problem
I got a problem.
I've installed vjoy, assigned key button "2" as A and ticked "Enabled" box.
I ran Big Picture mode and mouse over the game (War of the Roses with full controlled pad comp.) and clicked "A". But nothing happens.
Controller Options in Big Picture seems to not working (nothing is there and can't even assign any key there).
I don't know what should I do with it.
For some people it worked but here, nope.

I have exactly the same problem.
I even checked the config by going to Setup USB Game Controllers (In Windows 7, Start > and Searching usb game controllers). The VJoy Virtual Joystick controllers come up as installed. I click properties, and it shows a ulitity where each of the controller's button inputs etc are shown on a chart, and pressing the corresponding key highlights the icon for that button. The keys I set all seemed to be working perfectly. Yet when I run Steam, Go to Big Picture and try pressing the the keys, (or any key that I assigned to a button for that matter) nothing happens at all. I went to settings in BigPicture and control settings as mentioned above to try to configure the keys, and as above, all the key bindings are blank, and pressing any key when prompted has no effect whatsoever. This doesn't appear to be working for me at all.
restart ur pc and wolaaaa

I think that was obvious idea to do not worthy to mention.
I'm still stuck with it. Tried I think everything except getting real pad and plug it
Sadly I couldn't get this to work through the emulator, so I just grabbed a 360 controller and it worked straight up. Sorry for all those that don't have one, I didn't manage to find a solution to this.

I had the same problem. Make sure to run vjoy as administrator (right click, then "run as administrator"). Even though I have admin rights by default, it didn't work with steam big picture until I specifically ran vjoy as administrator.

I had the same issue, but running vjoy as an administrator solved it for me. So, I guess it's worth trying the above mentioned solution!

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
