No Battery Warning Displayed In Corner While In-Game?
I know that when playing on a laptop, and it's running on it's battery, if you open the steam overlay it shows how much of the battery is left, by the icon in the corner. However, apparently, a notification is also suppose to pop-up in the corner when the battery is low. This warning has never come up for me, and it's frustrating when my laptop dies in the middle of a game of TF2.

Any clue as to why it won't show up? And, it's not just TF2, it doesn't work for any of my games.

If its the standard Window's battery warnings you can also tie it to an alert sound. Pick something EXTREMELY disturbing so you notice it with all the gunfire going off in game.
DirectX has complete control of the screen so just about nothing will pop up on you.
There are probably keyboard indicator lights that go off too.

So, THAT'S what it is. I saw the battery bar and thought it was some Thinkpad power app (I'm on a Thinkpad). So that's coming from Steam! Pretty cool. Learn something new every day. :)

If it was working this way, you wouldn't get chat notifications in-game.

@JOKER since 92' I would suggest you to try administrator mode. You need to get both application exe's on administrator mode or overlay won't work, for every game.
