Steam holiday badge
Hi.

If a person sends another person an item in tf2 as a gift, would that count towards the achievement to holiday badge?

I'm pretty sure you have to buy one of the things on sale, as a gift. Not sure if (to get the achievement) you have to actually give it to someone, but if you've come this far why not go ahead?
I also don't know if this applies to Steam Market purchases and/or from the Mann co Store in TF2 itself.

I have purchased 2 items as a gift via the holiday sale 2012. One of the gifts was activated into my library. The other is awaiting its new owner to log on so I can send it while he's online. I've already gotten the acheivement for gifting so I'm assuming you just have to purchase something as a gift, even if you keep it for yourself.
