We generally don't like to help with such requests as that is the method pirates use to play pirated games onine.

Civilization V. I'm a tech teacher and I'm using Civ V to teach geography and history. Just want them to be able to have some competition amongst each other instead of playing vs the computer or other online games since they're a bit amateur.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding you. When you say planet, are you referring to your students being in different places on the planet or do you mean they are in the same location and want to play the same game session?

Atlantica can teach them a lot about earth geography and semi-mangled history(and about economics if you're into that thing)

A game made me care enough to remember some real-world cities I normally wouldn't even know or care if they existed (regardless of those places being populated with mythical beasts).

Also sometimes you are suprised with a type-in-the-blank testing if you were reading the conversation or blindly clicking to rush through the quests. The questions and answers are the same if you create another character and start over.

I can see this being adapted for coursework.

I purchased 7 versions of the software to try to make this happen. It is most definitely not pirated software.

Hi tricarico.a, sorry to hear you are having issues. Sounds like you have a really good activity for your students there if it would work. Are you receiving any error messages or are you simply unable to connect to eachother, stuff like that?

Thanks. That's the weird thing. I'm not getting error messages. Sometimes the game will work and then sometimes it won't. I have 6 computers that are all friends in Steam and in a group I setup. I'm also having them troubleshoot the problem. Which is really turning out to be the true learning experiense.
