how do I get my money back for a buggy, defective game?
Test Drive Ferrari Racing Legends is a defective product and I want my money back. It constantly crashes and there is a bug with the menus and the game locks up. I do not have any other games where this happens- my system is rock solid. This game is the problem and I need my money back. I recently purchased the game, so I can't see how this could be a problem.

3.8 hours time played. Good luck with that. You're going to be told by Steam Support to contact the publisher first in order to troubleshoot the game. So, your best bet is to start the process with Evolved Games first and go from there.

This.

You can TRY Steam support, but the chances are slim. That would be the only way.

After you have download the game, technicaly they ar under no obligation to give you anything if the game does not worl

You agreed to it in the tos/tou when you made your account, and every time you buy a game.

Have you tried the sub forum concerning your issues.

The SSA states there are no guarantees of functionality. You should request the developers fix the issues with the game.

Yeah I tried the forum for the game, but some there have the exact same issue and there's no fix.

Is your system up to spec?

Personally I have only had one problem in my entire 3 years on Steam, and the problem fixed itself. I have this same game for the PS3 and it works fine. Hope you get your issue solved.

Yes, it's up to spec. No other game crashes on me. My system is rock solid and exceeds the recommended specs.

I'm always a tad dubious of people who claim their rigs are 'rock solid' as generally this turns out not to be the case, and is usually based on something totally unrelated (I can run MW2 why can't I run BO2!) or some other nonsensical thing.

Note that Steam's policy is to not give refunds. That being said you can 'ask'. Note that when you do ask, realize they DO NOT have to give you one, and the 3 hours on the game really makes your case much weaker. Being a jerk is a sure fire way to not get a refund. Be polite but firm. However realize that ultimately you may not get one.

There's a steams discussions group for this game:

If its a problem specifically with the steam version then you would most likely see the answer there.

I was trying to find the official game group (has the wide icon. Only official steam groups use that). Looks like only two fan-built groups, but try your luck, you're among enthusiasts.

If you want anymore help from here, you should post your system specs.

Funny, Half Life 2, GTR-Evo, rFactor2, Mafia 2, GSC, RBR, WRC3, BGEE- they all work fine. Only this title, which I just bought, has this issue. I went to the official Steam group forum and others have had the same problem. It's not a system issue, so I didn't post the specs to this system, that I built less than a year ago with a fresh install of Windows from a couple months back.

I didn't make this thread to get tech support- Atari tech support was not helpful and the Steam thread for this game hasn't found an answer yet either (those others who have the same issues). So I made this thread for a totally separate issue. Do I have recourse at all for a game that is defective and buggy?

Maybe, maybe not. That was already answered.

Now, post your system specs so that we can finish helping you, instead of being a jerk.
