is this a scam or not
someone dmed me recently and said they sold something on the community marketplace and they never received any money for the items and they said to email support@steampoweredrequests.com to help them prove i didn’t do it because they spam reported me and i need to know if this is some sort of scam

It's a scam.

The ONLY way you can contact Steam support and through which you will receive official answers is through https://help.steampowered.com and no other way.

Anyone claiming to be from Valve contacting you through Discord or other means is a scammer.

thank you this puts me at ease because they said i could be perma banned and i really don’t wanna lose all my games

Steam can never take your games away anyway, even if they ban you, the only people who can remove access to your games are the game's IP owner.
