I log into my pc today and the taskbar to open steam is not working, not to mention all the game shortcuts are gone. I can't open steam no matter what I do so I reinstall it. It says none of my games are installed. I check my storage and they very much are installed as I don't have my space back. I check "remove or add programs" and my games are there but with no icons. Steam won't recognize the games and I would have to reinstall them despite the fact that they are literally right there on my pc. What happened.
