Need help.
Hello, Im on a mac using heroic games launcher to run windows steam by sideloading. It used to work perfectly fine with downloading but now every single download stops on 11.8mb. I asked chatgpt and tried everything, cache, download region, etc. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

The issue with Steam downloads stopping at 11.8 MB when running through Heroic on macOS is usually caused by a corrupted Wine prefix or folder permission problems. Try moving the Wine prefix to a normal folder inside your home directory (for example, - /Games/Heroic/SteamPrefix), make sure the drive isn’t mounted as read-only, and give full permissions using:

chmod -R 755 ~/Games/Heroic


If that doesn’t help, create a new prefix in Heroic, reinstall Steam there, and test again. This usually fixes the problem.
