powerA controller no longer working on steam (crossover)
i'm using a PowerA wired pro controller on my macbook air with an adapter. i use Crossover to play Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload and some other games. and from the beginning it worked perfectly and it did for weeks. but now all of a sudden it refuses to work with any of my steam games. it works fine on any other game except for my steam games on Crossover. when i go on the settings it says "no controller detected". this is really ticking me off i just wanted to play some persona and its hardly playable on keyboard for me. i already tried checking off every "enable steam input for X" and still nothing. what's going on?

Steam’s controller settings or compatibility in the Crossover environment. Even though the controller works with other games, Steam might not be detecting it properly in Crossover due to Steam Input settings or a conflict with the adapter. Try a few things:

Disconnect and reconnect the controller to make sure it’s properly recognized.

In Steam, go to Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings, and check if your controller type is selected (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation, etc.). Sometimes the automatic detection fails.

Try disabling Steam Input for specific games if it's enabled, as this can cause conflicts with non-native controllers.

Also, check for any updates for Crossover or your adapter drivers, as something may have changed recently that’s affecting controller compatibility.

If it still doesn’t work, try running Steam in Big Picture mode and manually configure the controller settings for each game.

If none of this works, you may need to reach out to Crossover support or check Steam's community for any similar issues with controllers in this specific setup.
