Family
Hello

I urgently need help with a strange and annoying Steam Family error. I'm hoping this might have happened to anyone else.

The problem started when I successfully added a friend to the family group. Out of nowhere (without anyone doing anything), the platform automatically removed him from the group. When I tried to correct this error and re-invite my friend, the system immediately imposed the restriction that "we cannot add anyone for a period of one year."

The problem is that when I checked the "Manage Family Group" option, my friend's profile doesn't appear in the "Previous Members" list, which is supposed to allow re-entry without the waiting period. I only see the members I manually removed. I think because a system error caused him to be removed, it didn't register him correctly, and that's why we received the penalty.

If the system kicks you out due to an error, is there any way the community knows how the admin can restore that space or force the account to appear as a "Previous Member" to avoid the ban?

I hope you can help me.

Maybe Steam is still monitoring something after someone was added to a family, and eventually decided your friend isn't family.

Regardless, there is a nothing a user can do to manipulate the Family Sharing in their favor. You could ask support, although that might now be more difficult (and yes, support can see deleted and edited posts) if they do some basic investigation (I don't know whether they do).
If a friend was determined to not be a part of your household, the system can kick and prevent said person from rejoining.

:nkCool:
Well, thank you very much for the help.
All members of a Steam Family need to be in the same region and household.
