UK Online Safety Act - 'Add a credit card to this account' not working
I click on the 'Add a credit card to this account' button on www.store.steampowered.com/account/preferences and my existing Visa card (which I have used on Steam for a very, very long time) appears.

I click the Continue button to accept that card and it takes me back to the above page with nothing changed.

I still cannot view or search for adult titles (even though they are ticked on the above page).

Any ideas?

Debit cards do not remove the age restriction. You have to use a credit card.

I appreciate your help.

https://checkout.steampowered.com/checkout/?purchasetype=updatebillinginfo&r=preferences should not auto-select your Debit card as if it's ok then, in my opinion. Or, at least, say 'This is a Debit card and therefore is not accepted', instead of just taking you back to the account page.

it seems annoying that I have to sign up for a credit card in my name to access 'adult content'. I have prided myself in avoiding requiring a credit card in life.

Yeah it's a pain in the ass, not many of us Brits have or want a credit card.
With the way the censorship is going, i can see more countries doing the same tho. Hopefully in the future Steam will add other methods of proving your age other then cc.
