clearing disc space
I can't get one of my games to update because it says I don't have enough free disk space. If I delete some games I never play, will that free up space? From what I've read, you can't really delete a game, you can just hide it. No sure how to proceed. Also, I'm old and not real tech savvy so explain it like you are talking with a complete noob.

You’re confusing two different things. Yes, uninstalling a game will free up the space the game was taking up on your storage.

When people say you can’t delete games only hide them, they’re taking about removing games from their Steam account, not ones installed on their computers.

To add on to the above post, you can do the following to uninstall a game from your computer:

Right click on the game in your library list on steam, select manage then select uninstall.
