My purchased game (Hogwarts Legacy) disappeared from my libraryм
Hi everyone,

I noticed that Hogwarts Legacy has completely disappeared from my Steam library. I bought it (or possibly received it as a gift) around two years ago, but now it’s not showing up anywhere — not in my game list, and not in my purchase history.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could have happened? Is there any way to recover the game or contact support about this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help 🙏

Yes, I’m definitely on the correct account — this is my only one.
It wasn’t Family Sharing, the game was fully owned and appeared in my library before.
Where exactly can I check the logs or records of removed games? I don’t see anything like that in my purchase history.

if it was ever added to the account, it will show under the licenses. if you bought it, there will be an entry under purchases.
Visit your purchase history, you should see if you bought it, refunded it, or not. If you have email on this purchase, read the account name it for so don't get it mixed uo. If using multiple accounts.

- Are you on the right account? Yes people make multiple accounts for gods know why, and forget their accounts exists, or couldn't remember which account they have that has the game.

- Are you sure didn't do it via family sharing? Yes people forget things if they were doing family sharing, and assume they own it when it own by someone else. Same with if you gift the game to someone that family share it to you, you didn't buy it for your account, bought it for someone else account hence gift, so if happen gift it someone that may be why you assume you bought it for yourself.

- Are you sure didn't refunded the game? Some people forget things, and don't remember they refunded stuff for reasons.

- Are you sure you didn't have game set to hidden in your library? Some people hide games they don't want to see for whatever reason. Open steam client > click on view > click on hidden games. Note if you have filters enable it may hide the game such as tags, game ready, or etc....

- Are you sure didn't go out of your way to remove game from account? Some people do this for gods know why for whatever reason, so if you done this, you can undo this by going to steam help page, click on games, and search for the game, then click not in my library, and restore the game back to your library.
Did you buy or receive it through Steam ,or through a license key from some shady website?

Publishers will sometimes revoke your game when it's done through shady websites.
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve already checked everything:
– I’m on the correct account (this is my only one).
– It wasn’t Family Sharing.
– I didn’t refund or remove the game myself.
– It’s not hidden — I checked my hidden games list.

The game was still in my library about two weeks ago, and now it’s completely gone — also missing from my purchase history.

I’m sure it was through Steam directly, not a key from any third-party site.
I usually buy games only from the Steam Store, so it shouldn’t have been a revoked key.

Did you check your email for purchase of it?

You can contact support, and they will tell you flat out if you ever had own it, or not.
You can also just go to the Support page, search for the game and select " its not in my library".
If you owned the game before and it was removed or the license deactivated it will tell you.
If it was removed you get the option to restore the license.
