Stopping Updates Altogether
Is there anyway to stop the notification steam gives me saying to update? I always say no unless I hear theres a big one. Also can I stop games from updating too? I know I can make it so they update when I play them, but I have games I don't ever want to update otherwise it breaks everything.

I also hate that Steam forces game updates.
Since I only had an hour, I just wanted to play quick an offline game.
The game is in good condition and doesn't need the new content. But no.
Now I first have to make room on my hard drive for a 25GB update.
Then I have to wait forever for the download because my internet connection is to slow.
Then I have to deal with the mods, many of which no longer work, which completely changes the way the game plays.
And now I've run out of time!

Thanks for an update I didn't want or needed Steam!

And no, it's too late for offline mode or internet shutdown. The game won't start because it's waiting for its damn update!
